27.7.2017 — The City of Prague is autonomously administered by Prague City Assembly. Other bodies of the City of Prague are Prague City Council, the Mayor of Prague, Prague City Hall, special bodies of the City of Prague and Prague Municipal Police.
Císařský Island and Troja reconnected by pedestrian bridge
30.10.2020 — The districts of Prague 7 and Prague-Troja are connected by a new pedestrian bridge three years after the disastrous collapse of the Troja Pedestrian Bridge. The bridge will serve not only pedestrians, cyclists and people on inline skates, but also the Integrated Rescue System vehicles shall the need arise. The total cost of the construction was 150 million CZK, and the construction took less than one year.

23.7.2020 — The large courtyard of the former barracks in Karlín in Prague is being used as an unusual open-air cinema for the second year. 4.2.2019 — At the beginning of February, construction work will commence on the bridge in Bubenská street, near the Vltavská metro station. The investor, Prague Technical Road Administration (Technická správa komunikací hl. m. Prahy, a.s.), expects the work to take approximately one month. Some traffic restrictions will be in place.

Final farewell to Karel Gott
10.10.2019 — Up to 300,000 people are expected to come to Žofín Palace in Prague to pay their final respects to Karel Gott this Friday. Masarykovo Embankment, which is close to the venue, will be pedestrianised. The Office of the Government of the Czech Republic will work with the police, the army and Prague City Hall for the smooth organisation of the event.
