29.8.2020 — Matter of Art ('Bienále Ve věci umění') with the subtitle Come Closer ('Pojď blíž') is a new event with the ambition of becoming a biennale - an event that takes place every second year. The full programme takes place in the Prague Municipal Library in Mariánské Square until the 15th of November, offering guided tours, workshops, and discussions. Proximity and empathy are the two central motifs of the Matter of Art 2020. One of the main locations is the Municipal Library's exquisite exhibition halls in Prague's Old Town.

9.7.2020 — This summer, you can admire the painter Eva Erbsová's works in the lobby of the Škoda Palace. The painter exhibits regularly in the Škoda Palace, one of Prague City Hall's buildings, in recent years. This time, she selected paintings inspired by exhibits of the National Technical Museum in Prague in Letná.

10.2.2019 — This year, the capital plans to continue renewing the quays. The Prague Councillor for Property, Jan Chabr, wants to support more public events for children and families, during the winter as well as the summer. For example, on Saturday 2nd February, traditional farmers' markets will start on Rašínovo nábřeží quay. Jan Chabr would like to see similar events take place.

20.4.2020 — According to the Czech Ministry of Health, regular public office hours can resume in Prague City Hall on Monday, the 20th of April. Strict health and safety requirements will be in place during City Hall's office hours, but electronic communication is still recommended whenever possible.

7.3.2025 — Teplé předjarní počasí láká ven, a tak se hodí z událostí v metropoli v sobotu 8. a v neděli 9. března, několik tipů na akce, které se konají pod širým nebem.

4.3.2022 — Pražské Divadlo Na zábradlí pořádá v sobotu 5. března od 16.00 do 18.00 hodin benefiční akci na podporu lidí zasažených válkou na Ukrajině. V jejím rámci se uskuteční kulturní program i materiální sbírka, součástí akce bude také vernisáž výstavy ukrajinských umělců.

8.6.2021 — Praha odsouhlasila poskytnutí mimořádné finanční podpory na pořádání významných sportovních akcí, které se v letošním roce konají na území hlavního města. Celkově je pro tyto účely vyčleněna částka ve výši tří milionů korun.

13.1.2004 — Pražský magistrát podpořil pořádání mezinárodní zábavné "street art" exhibice CowParade, při níž bude v centru Prahy rozmístěno dvě stě barevně ztvárněných soch krav v životní velikosti. Podrobnější informace budou sděleny 15. 1. v budově MHMP na úvodní tiskové konferenci
