30.4.2010 — Pražský primátor Pavel Bém dnes v ZOO Praha slavnostně ohlásil plánovanou akci Běh pro gorily, který se v centru Prahy uskuteční 22. května. Jedná se o dárek pro všechny gorily v Africe v podobě charitativního běhu v gorilích maskách v pražských ulicích. Mezi závodníky vylosuje v květnu pražský primátor dva běžce, kteří poletí za gorilami do Ugandy. Tento závod dnes slavnostně ohlásil při prohlídce pavilonu goril, kde se minulý víkend narodilo gorilí mládě.

18.8.2020 — The vulnerable Texas tortoise is a species of tortoise in the Testudinidae family, and one of six species of tortoises in the Gopherus genus, commonly referred to as gopher tortoises. They are native to North America, in southern US and northern Mexico. Prague Zoo, which is the only zoo in Europe that successfully breeds this species, celebrated the birth of a new hatchling in the second half of July. Texas tortoises inhabit deep burrows, which they dig with their strong claws and flattened front legs. However, they prefer to use pre-dug mammal burrows. Prague Zoo has kept a group of these interesting tortoises in the Sonora exhibit in the Pavilion of Beasts and Reptiles since 2007. The first hatchlings were born in 2010.

20.5.2019 — On Monday, the 20th of May 2019, Anthony D. Sheridan, a member of the Zoological Society of London, will familiarise visitors of Prague Zoo with endangered primates.

26.1.2020 — Prostřednictvím veřejné sbírky, kterou Zoo Praha společně s hlavním městem vyhlásila v pondělí 6. ledna večer, se do tohoto pátku vybralo již neuvěřitelných 13 460 524 korun. Aby se z úspěchu mohli radovat i návštěvníci zoo, byl u Rezervace Bororo instalován speciální panel, kde se dá částka podle potřeby aktualizovat. Sbírka totiž pokračuje i nadále. Slavnostního odhalení dosud vybrané sumy se zúčastnila i honorární konzulka Austrálie Jana Kvasnicová, která ocenila velkorysé zapojení Čechů.

2.12.2024 — Adopční kampaň symbolicky nazvanou Adoptuj mě! pořádá pražská zoologická zahrada i v letošním roce.

13.6.2022 — Čtveřice goril - samice Kijivu, Kamba a Shinda spolu s mladým samečkem Ajabuem - si po úspěšném přestěhování minulý týden zvyká v novém pavilonu v Zoo Praha. Richard se svými syny Kiburim a Nuruem zůstali ve starém pavilonu.

20.6.2020 — The weekend of the 21st and the 22nd of June will be dedicated to large African mammals in Prague Zoo. World Giraffe Day celebrations and a baby elephant christening will take place here. World Giraffe Day falls on the 21st of June, the longest day of the year, but it will be celebrated in Prague Zoo on Saturday, the 20th of June, this year. The Giraffe Conservation Foundation, who announced this day, protects and monitors these incredible mammals in the wild. Zoos celebrate giraffes on this day all around the world.

22.9.2020 — All visitors to the zoo probably know the pavilions, enclosures and expositions. However, the zoological garden also offers the opportunity to walk local trails, leading to a time when the planet Earth was just being formed. The Geostezka path leading from the ungulate enclosures to Gočár Houses in the upper part of the zoo winds around the rock massif so closely that it does not allow for the construction of pavilions and enclosures with animals. Here, visitors can focus on the paleontological trail called 'Footprints in Time'.
