3.1.2019 — Do you also like something stronger from time to time? In that case, you should try spirits from the Botanical Garden of the City of Prague (Botanická zahrada hlavního města Prahy). Its product range recently expanded as two new varieties were introduced. For a long time, the Botanical Garden of the City of Prague only offered its visitors wine. In 2017, however, it introduced a new range of products - three types of distilled spirits. Presently, there are two other types that contain 45% alcohol. "We decided to extend the range of spirits, since they have become popular amongst our clients. At the same time, we wanted to see the differences between the distilled spirit made from pomace and the one distilled from wine", says Vladimíra Egertová, the director of Vinice sv. Kláry (St Clare's Vineyard).

1.12.2017 — Old Town Hall to host the best of Czech Press Photo 2017 until the end of January. The exhibition presents a total of almost 500 photographs and videos from over 100 authors.

19.2.2020 — On the 20th of February, Prague City Gallery will organise another of the accompanying programs to the exhibition 'Devětsil 1920 - 1931' - a screening of 'Kid', the historical Charlie Chaplin's movie.

3.6.2019 — Tanec Praha, the international festival of contemporary dance and movement theatre in Prague, is one of the biggest events in the Czech cultural calendar.

29.9.2019 — The contemporary circus ensemble Cirk La Putyka is celebrating its 10th anniversary. As part of the celebrations, they decided to return with three of their successful productions to their original venues: La Fabrika, Archa Theatre and the New Stage of the National Theatre's New Stage in October and November.

17.2.2022 — Třetí sobota v únoru každoročně patří jednomu z nejpodivuhodnějších a zároveň nejohroženějších druhů zvířat na světě. Světový den luskounů se bude slavit také v Zoo Praha, která již letos na jaře tyto vzácné živočichy představí jako své nové obyvatele v expozici Indonéská džungle.

18.3.2014 — Celkem čtrnáct kulturních a společenských akcí Praha letos považuje za konané ve veřejném zájmu. Pro zajištění jejich hladkého průběhu je potřeba, aby v místech jejich konání neparkovala vozidla. Jde například o Pražský mezinárodní maraton, Muzejní noc, Den bez aut nebo závod Běchovice-Praha.

9.7.2024 — Teprve druhé mládě luskouna v Evropě, které minulý týden v noci na 1. července 2024 přišlo na svět v Zoo Praha, je samičkou. Zjištění pražských chovatelů potvrdili na základě zaslaných fotografií i odborníci z tchajwanské Taipei Zoo.

10.2.2019 — The exhibition of the famous American filmmaker, cinematographer and artist Arthur Jafa can now be seen at the Galerie Rudolfinum. It is his first exhibition in the Czech Republic. Arthur Jafa creates images of African-American identity and culture through a broad spectrum of contemporary footage and found images. The exhibition's title, 'A Series of Utterly Improbable, Yet Extraordinary Renditions', refers to the feeling of emptiness that characterizes black life, according to Jafa.

13.8.2019 — The Bollywood Film Festival, in cooperation with the Indian Embassy in Prague, has prepared a family fun day with a rich cultural programme to celebrate Indian Independence Day. On the 15th of August 1947, British rule in India ceased and the nation became independent. You can commemorate this event on the 15th of August on Střelecký Island in Prague.

24.1.2019 — On Friday, the 1st of February 2019, schoolchildren in the Czech Republic will enjoy a school break. As in previous years, children will participate in project Ledová Praha by visiting monuments, museums and other centres of heritage in Prague. Over the long weekend from the 1st to the 3rd of February, families and groups of children will collect their Ledová karta, a free card that grants free or reduced admission to many museums and galleries in Prague, (such as the National Museum, the Jewish Museum in Prague and the Czech Police Museum) and other places of interest (for example, Prague Castle, Strahov Library and Loreta Praha). This year, about thirty historical and cultural centres of heritage are taking part.
