10.6.2008 — Česká televize zahájí v sobotu 14. června slavnostně 45. ročník Mezinárodního televizního festivalu Zlatá Praha, který se koná pod záštitou primátora. Přehlídka nejlepších hudebních a tanečních pořadů napříč hudebními žánry z celého světa potrvá do středy 18. června 2008 v Praze na Žofíně. Hlavní město Praha pravidelně finančně podporuje festival od 35. ročníku (od r. 1998).

18.1.2019 — Prague Zoo is one of the best zoos in the world, and was ranked fifth-best internationally last year. The zoo's breeding programmes have been successful - 1340 animals were born here in the last year. New species of animals have been introduced to the zoo, including the Etruscan shrew, the smallest mammal in the world. This insectivore, which is between 3 and 5 centimetres long excluding the tail and has an average body mass of 1.8 grams, is to be found from the end of the summer in the pavilion 'African House'.

17.5.2019 — On the 18th of May 2019, the next annual Prague Proms International Festival, a prominent summer gala by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, will start. Visitors will enjoy great concerts of classical, film and jazz music. The annual participation of top foreign artists is evidence that this is a prestigious project. Celebrities such as opera singer Edita Gruber, conductor Marcello Rota, Swedish trumpeter Lasse Lingren, saxophonist Brandford Marsalise and his Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra - one of the best active big bands in the world, phenomenal soprano Anna Netrebko, and the big band Buddy Roche all accepted the invitation, along with many other big-name artists.

11.3.2019 — From the 15th to the 21st of March 2019, yoga enthusiasts from all over the world will gather in Prague to take part in the 9th Prague Spirit Festival. 'Novoměstská radnice' (The New Town Hall) hosts the main events. Yoga is about life, reality, pleasures and doubts. The motto of this year's annual festival, the first of its kind in the Czech Republic, is "You are not alone".

19.12.2019 — The advent period in Prague is celebrated in many ways. One of the people who makes Christmas in the Czech capital special is a lamplighter, who lights the gas lamps on the Charles Bridge.

17.2.2014 — Odborníci z České společnosti ornitologické (ČSO) umístili na 180 metrů vysoký komín ZEVO Malešice novou hnízdní budku pro sokola stěhovavého.

28.2.2020 — Prague City Council has recently approved for the city of Prague to participate in the organisation of the 1st International Congress for the Governance of AI (ICGAI/ Prague 2020). The subject of the congress will be the regulation and ethics of artificial intelligence.

16.7.2007 — Sběr prestižních cen z prestižních výstav o turistice se na začátku sezony nezdařil stánku, který připravilo pro letošní turistickou sezonu hlavní město Praha. Na skončeném veletrhu Holiday World 2007, který je největší událostí svého druhu ve Střední Evropě, stánek u komise neuspěl.

18.9.2024 — V Praze na Letné se od 20. do 22. září 2024 uskuteční Světový pohár v boulderingu, na který přijedou nejlepší sportovní lezci z celého světa

10.2.2011 — Martin Hrdlička, majitel společnosti Hrdlička, spol. s r. o., se stal Podnikatelem roku 2010 Prahy a Středních Čech. Diplom a trofej si dnes v Praze převzal z rukou primátora hl. m. Prahy Bohuslava Svobody, vedoucí partnerky pořadatelské společnosti Ernst & Young Magdaleny Souček a předsedy poroty a loňského vítěze soutěže Eduarda Kučery.
