Independent American artist Arthur Jafa in Galerie Rudolfinum

10.2.2019 — The exhibition of the famous American filmmaker, cinematographer and artist Arthur Jafa can now be seen at the Galerie Rudolfinum. It is his first exhibition in the Czech Republic. Arthur Jafa creates images of African-American identity and culture through a broad spectrum of contemporary footage and found images. The exhibition's title, 'A Series of Utterly Improbable, Yet Extraordinary Renditions', refers to the feeling of emptiness that characterizes black life, according to Jafa.

Prague sings: Hej mistře! (Hey Master!)

23.12.2018 — It is traditionally celebrated at midnight on Christmas Eve, in various locations in the Capital. 'Czech Christmas Mass', also known as Hej mistře! ('Hey Master!'), popularly called Rybovka, and in Latin Missa solemnis Festis Nativitatis D. J. Ch. acomodata in linguam bohemicam musicam, abriviated to Missa pastoralis bohemika, is a Czech religious composition written by Jakub Jan Ryba. It is the first written liturgical composition in Czech. Rybovka is a pastoral play set in Czechia that narrates the story of the Annunciation of Christ's birth and the arrival of shepherds to the manger in the stable. It was composed in 1796 and hand-written copies quickly spread throughout the Kingdom of Bohemia. The original score has not been preserved, and the versions that are played today are compiled based on critical analyses of the hand-written copies.

Hlavní město řeší unáhlenou výpověď kontaktního centra v Praze 5

19.8.2022 — Kvůli nekoordinovanému vypovězení nájmu jednoho ze tří pražských kontaktních center Prahou 5 jednalo hlavní město se zástupci městských částí o tom, kde je potřebné otevřít novou nízkoprahovou službu pro osoby závislé na drogách. Jednání se účastnili také odborníci adiktologických služeb a zástupci městské i státní policie. Zúčastnění se shodli na dalších krocích, Praha mimo jiné vytipuje budovy ve svém majetku, které by byly pro nové centrum vhodné.
