16.10.2019 — Das Filmfest, a festival of the best films in German, will take place in Prague from the 16th to the 22nd of October. This year's 14th annual Das Filmfest festival will feature new German, Austrian and Swiss cinematography.
The Battle of White Mountain to be re-enacted at Vypich
18.9.2020 — On the 19th and the 20th of September, a spectacular re-enactment of the Battle of White Mountain (Bitva na Bílé hoře), which was fought 400 years ago, will take place in Prague 6, along with an accompanying programme and a historic market. Hundreds of enthusiasts from all over Europe will take part in the event introducing a dramatic episode of Czech history. The reconstruction of the battle, which was a turning point for the Czech lands, is organised by the Bílá hora 1620 association. The re-enactment, which is one of the largest events of its kind in Europe, aims for the highest level of authenticity possible.
Petschek Villa reveals its secrets
29.9.2019 — The American Center in Prague will host an exhibition called 'Villa Petschek Story' until the 8th of October, which narrates the story of the villa that has served as the United States Ambassadors' palatial residence since the year 1945. A photographic tour of the representative halls, which are usually closed to the public, and unique images from the building of the villa are included in the exhibition.
Lukáš Rittstein’s works at the Sculpture Line festival
23.8.2020 — The Sculpture Line is a festival that transforms squares, streets, parks and other public spaces into open-air galleries. The festival is taking place in Prague and other Czech cities and towns for the sixth time. Sculpture Line is the largest event in the Czech Republic that supports the connection between sculpture and public space and, in doing so, expands the cultural and artistic potential of public spaces, bringing emotion into public spaces and exploring new possibilities. The main idea of the long-term art project is to introduce contemporary art to both residents and tourists, and to enhance the social function of public spaces.

New cycling paths in Prague
23.9.2019 — Prague councillors have agreed to support the financing of the project preparation and partial creation of new routes for cyclists and pedestrians in northeast Prague. Districts 14, 18, 19, and 20, as well as Čakovice, Satalice and Vinoř, will plan to connect existing cycle paths by slightly adjusting field roads and third-class roads to create a unified and efficient network.

The museum is the largest Czech institution that specialises in technical collections, and it was founded on the 5th of July 1908 as the Technical Museum of the Bohemian Kingdom. Currently, its collections are in 14 permanent exhibitions and a number of temporary exhibitions.
