National Gallery exhibits Myslbek’s works depicting human poverty

18.9.2020 — The National Gallery Prague hosts temporary graphic exhibitions in the Fair Trade Palace. One of them is an exhibition of a collection of drawings and prints by Karel Myslbek entitled 'The Silent Drama of Human Poverty', which takes place until the 8th of November. The National Gallery has rich and wide-ranging collection of graphics and drawings from various periods and styles. However, artworks on paper cannot be exhibited for a long time, so drawings and graphics are regularly presented in short-term exhibitions. The current exhibit in the Graphic Cabinet introduces the world of the gloomy but interesting Czech painter, Karel Myslbek.

Discover Stone Treasures from Prague Gardens in Troja Château

17.7.2020 — Prague City Gallery comes back to life with exhibitions, various programmes and other events. Yet another interesting exhibition will take place in one of the most beautiful Baroque buildings, Troja Château. The 'Stone Treasures from Prague Gardens' exhibition will be open to visitors until the 1st of November.

New drive-in cinema at the Great Strahov Stadium

21.5.2020 — The space near the Great Strahov Stadium is being put to good use, with a brand-new drive-in cinema. With a capacity of 120 cars, it is the largest drive-in cinema in Prague. Apart from film screenings, various cultural events will also take place here during the summer.

International Dance Day to take place online

28.4.2020 — The 29th of April has been the International Dance Day since 1982. The traditional meeting of dancers and dance fans usually takes place on Střelecký Island, where the event has a wide fan base. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year's annual competition will be broadcast online from several locations in Prague. Nevertheless, the event will still connect the Czech dance scene with the public.
