16.12.2011 — Novoroční ohňostroj se nad Prahou rozzáří hned v prvních vteřinách roku 2012. Světelná show nazvaná „Praha matka měst“ bude odpalována z pontonu na Vltavě mezi Střeleckým ostrovem a Karlovým mostem a potrvá 15 minut.

8.8.2022 — Letošní festival Prague Pride z pohledu programové nabídky daleko předčí předchozí ročníky. Od pondělí 8. srpna až do neděle 14. srpna nabídne v programu více jak 150 akcí na různých místech Prahy. Hlavním festivalovým místem v průběhu celého týdne zůstává Střelecký ostrov. Po tříleté pauze se navíc vrací sobotní průvod. Ten zamíří na Letenskou pláň, kde vyvrcholí hudebním a doprovodným programem.
