29.5.2019 — The 21st international festival, "Prague Heart of Nations 2019", is the largest joint event for minorities in the Czech Republic, bringing a wealth of traditions from nations around the world. From the 30th of May to the 3rd of June, the festival will symbolically take place in the heart of Europe - the historical centre of Prague. Since 1999, musicians, singers and dancers have come to the Czech capital to perform traditional folk art from their native countries. This year, Prague will welcome a wide range of artists once again.

5.8.2019 — The international floorball tournament Czech Open 2019 will take place in thirteen halls across Prague from the 8th to the 11th of August. The tournament is not only for elite world teams, but also for amateur and junior teams. The 28th international floorball tournament is considered one of the largest and most prestigious in the world. The biggest stars regularly come to Prague for this event.

21.9.2010 — /Zpráva z 33. jednání Rady hl. m. Prahy 21. 9. 2010/Rada hl. m. Prahy dnes schválila poskytnutí finančních prostředků pěti žadatelům v celkové částce 3 600 000 Kč. Tato podpora se vztahuje na rok 2010 v rámci vypisovaných Partnerství hl. m. Prahy v oblasti cestovního ruchu a příspěvek v jednotlivých případech nepřevyšuje částku 2 mil. Kč. Výbor pro ochranu památek a cestovní ruch doporučil finanční podporu vybraným projektům na svém zasedání 1. 7. 2010.

24.4.2024 — Mezinárodní den tance je celosvětově uznávaný svátek zapsaný v seznamu UNESCO, který každoročně připadá na 29. dubna na památku narození tanečního reformátora Jeana-Georgese Noverrea.

10.3.2009 — Rada hlavního města Prahy schválila přidělení finančních prostředků v celkové výši 10 650 000 korun na podporu sportovních akcí v roce 2009. Hlavní město Praha na tyto akce přispívá a podporuje je v rámci partnerství při jejich pořádání.

On the 15th of August 1947, British rule in India ceased and the nation became independent. You can commemorate this event on the 15th of August on Střelecký Island in Prague.

29.8.2022 — Rada hl. m. Prahy dnes odsouhlasila poskytnutí dotací a zajištění licencí umožňujících přístup středních a vysokých škol na akce Týden inovací 2022, Disraptors Summit 2022 a Future Port Youth 2022. Celkem se jedná o finanční podporu ve výši necelých 6 milionů korun.

10.8.2009 — Pražský primátor Pavel Bém dnes dopoledne přijal ve slavnostních prostorách Brožíkovy síně Staroměstské radnice zástupce Světové softballové federace. Česká softballová asociace pořádá letos hlavní mezinárodní akcí České softballové asociace Světový pohár. Primátor Pavel Bém včera zahájil Světový pohár v softballu dívek do šestnácti let.

29.1.2019 — Skipark Prague in Vypich, a popular cross-country skiing system with artificial snow, is open to the public from the 25th of January 2019. It is available for free for all cross-country enthusiasts from 8am to 9pm daily, as long as favourable climatic conditions last.

31.5.2019 — The season of food festivals is in full swing, with Prague Ice Cream Festival kicking off on the 2nd of June in Prague Exhibition Grounds (Výstaviště Praha).

20.3.2007 — Rozdělení 5 885 tisíc korun formou partnerství hlavního města Prahy při pořádání sportovních akcí v roce 2007 dnes schválila městská rad. Město podpoří pestrou škálu sportovních podniků: mezinárodní atletické závody ve skoku o tyči, cyklistický závod na horských kolech pro širokou veřejnost, mezinárodní turnaj v curlingu, mistrovství světa juniorů ve vzpírání, Prague International Marathon, házenou, tenis i kopanou.

30.6.2020 — Fans of new circus will be pleased to hear that Letní Letná, the popular new circus festival, will take place this year after all, and only part of the programme will be postponed until next year. The 17th annual Letní Letná festival will take place from the 18th to the 25th of August in Letenské sady in Prague. Unfortunately, the programme will not be the same, but it is still well worth a visit!

29.4.2019 — On the 30th of April 2019, the 33rd annual festival 'Mezinárodní týdny tance' (International Dance Weeks) will culminate in the Hybernia Theatre. For the first time, artists from all three Czech National Theatres will meet on one stage!

21.7.2022 — Praha totiž letos po třech letech opět v plné parádě hostí Let's Dance Prague International Festival. Jeho 14. ročník, který se koná od 21. do 24. července, přináší taneční show plnou hvězd v divadle ABC i řadu workshopů různých tanečních stylů a cvičení.

29.6.2020 — Střelecký Island ('Střelecký ostrov' or simply 'Střelák' to the locals) in the heart of Prague not only offers scenic views of Charles Bridge and Prague Castle, and romantic walks in the shade of mature trees, but has also become a place for free outdoor public dancing in recent years. Many dance programmes and workshops take place on a pontoon that has been anchored to the island for several years, offering an additional stage and dance floor. Dancing is a pleasant social activity, as well as a manifestation of emotions. It is an art form, which brings the pleasure of moving to music to everyone, both spectators and dancers, whether they dance alone, in pairs or in groups.
