22.6.2006 — Pražský primátor Pavel Bém předal včera večer šek na částku 268 tisíc korun přednostovi Psychiatrické kliniky 1. lékařské fakulty Univerzity Karlovy Jiřímu Rabochovi. Jde o výtěžek netradiční dražby, která se konala v rámci projektu oslav 150. výročí narození Sigmunda Freuda. Vydraženo bylo osm pohovek z dílen renomovaných designérů i studentů Vysoké školy uměleckoprůmyslové v Praze.

7.2.2012 — Hlavní město se rozhodlo odměnit tři nálezce stříbrného pokladu v domě v ulici Duškova na Praze 5. Každý ze tří nálezců pokladu tak dostane od města 200 tisíc korun. Cenný poklad byl zřejmě uložen za 2. světové války a objeven dne 16. 11. 2008 během provádění opravy mezipatrové podesty budovy.

10.8.2020 — The 7th annual barrel-organ music festival, 'Flašinet žije', will take place in the historic heart of Prague on the 11th of August. Street artists from the Czech Republic and Slovakia will bring music and energy to three venues in the city centre. The barrel-organ music festival will commence at 10am with a concert in the church of St. Nicholas in the Old Town square. The beautiful baroque church will witness a barrel-organ performance of popular classical music pieces.

It is mandatory to cover your nose and mouth from the 19th of March, with some exceptions. The Czech Police Museum is creating an original collection of masks to exhibit. Due to a lack of masks and because they are mandatory, some people started to make them at home.

1.2.2019 — Over the course of the year, The City of Prague Museum is preparing a total of six exhibitions. These exhibitions will show Prague past, with interesting historical crafts, as well as present-day Prague, with photographs by a well-known photographer. The museum has permanent displays, such as the archaeological collection in the main building, which is the museum's biggest collection and mostly comes from the museum's archaeological research. Collections of applied art are also valuable, including a high-quality collection of graphics. The most valuable part of this collection is the vedute, which are views of Prague, including its squares, individual street, important buildings, emerging suburbs and natural surroundings outside the city's baroque fortifications. Visitors can also admire these views in Langweil's model of Prague, which contains more than 2,000 buildings on a 1:480 scale, with all the fine details of facades, courtyards, gardens and farm outhouses belonging to buildings. In the case of many demolished historical buildings, Langweil's model of Prague is the only physical record of their appearance.

The painter exhibits regularly in the Škoda Palace, one of Prague City Hall's buildings, in recent years. 28.2.2022 — Memorandum o vzájemné spolupráci mezi hlavním městem Prahou a Vysokou školou uměleckoprůmyslovou v Praze (UMPRUM) bylo dnes podepsáno na půdě Magistrátu hl. m. Prahy. Slavnostního aktu se zúčastnili radní hl. m. Prahy pro oblast školství a sportu Vít Šimral a rektor UMPRUM Jindřich Vybíral. Obě strany podpisem potvrdily svůj zájem rozvíjet vzájemnou spolupráci, a to zejména v oblasti rozvoje kulturních a kreativních průmyslů i na výstavních a vzdělávacích projektech. Už minulé pondělí samotné memorandum schválili pražští radní.

30.6.2019 — As part of its hundredth anniversary celebrations, the National Technical Museum is offering reductions on admission prices on Thursday, the 5th of July. The museum is the largest Czech institution that specialises in technical collections, and it was founded on the 5th of July 1908 as the Technical Museum of the Bohemian Kingdom. Currently, its collections are in 14 permanent exhibitions and a number of temporary exhibitions.

5.10.2022 — Praha se od 5. do 9. října promění v největší les českého a mezinárodního designu. LES je totiž tématem letošního 24. ročníku festivalu Designblok. Největší středoevropská přehlídka designu a módy proběhne ve smíchovském areálu Gabriel Loci a v Uměleckoprůmyslovém museu v Praze. Těšit se můžete na módní přehlídky, prezentace podzimních kolekcí i zajímavé umělecké instalace.

31.12.2019 — The life-sized nativity scene made from straw by the Polish artist Andrzej Wrzecionko, a Vltava fish nativity scene registered in the Czech Book of Records, an African themed nativity scene made from ebony wood, a nautical-themed nativity scene, and a nativity scene made from corn husk are just a few of the unique creations that you can see at the traditional Christmas exhibition at the Charles Bridge Museum. This year, apart from nativity scenes, you will also have the opportunity to learn about the history of Christmas music as part of the exhibition.

29.6.2020 — 'Thank you Czech technicians' is an exhibition in the National Technical Museum, which expresses their gratitude to Czechs technicians for their help during the coronavirus pandemic. The exhibition will be open in the museum building in Letná until the 30th of September.

30.7.2020 — Museum Kampa otevře své brány návštěvníkům v sobotu 1. srpna v 10:00 hodin. Uzavřeno bylo po požáru v technickém zázemí od 15. července. Částečné otevření Musea Kampa je možné díky pomoci společnosti Trade Centre Praha, která objekt spravuje. Pro veřejnost bude zpřístupněna výstava Alfonse Muchy a Pasty Onera: Elusive fusion a stálá expozice Františka Kupky a Otto Gutfreunda.

14.3.2024 — Hlavní město ve spolupráci s Vysokou školou uměleckoprůmyslovou (UMPRUM) v Praze přichystalo pro širokou veřejnost sérii krejčovských kurzů, na kterých se dvě dílenské mistrové podělí o tipy, jak vylepšit svůj šatník a naučit se nové techniky a postupy.

8.6.2010 — Zahájení výstavy děl studentů ze Střední uměleckoprůmyslové školy sklářské v Kamenickém Šenově v rámci Pražského festivalu PF 10 proběhlo včera v prodejně Moser na Staroměstském náměstí. Za hlavní město Prahu se akce zúčastnila zastupitelka Alena Samková, která také předala cenu za nejkvalitnější dílo výstavy. Ředitelka festivalu Jitka Pokorná pak předala cenu za nejatraktivnější dílo.

14.12.2019 — Once again, the Náprstek Museum of Asian, African and American Cultures in Prague will host their popular Christmas event for the whole family, 'Vánoce u Halánků' (Christmas in Halánků). The event will take place on the 15th of December.
