18.6.2024 — Hlavní město Praha bude na přelomu tohoto června a července hostit velkolepou mezinárodní taneční soutěž Dance World Cup (DWC) pro tanečníky ve věku od 5 do 25 let.

3.10.2017 — Startup World Cup & Summit zná finalisty i program. Do Prahy přiletí tvůrce Angry Birds a bude se soutěžit o investici více než 1 milion dolarů. Do středoevropského kola, ze kterého vzejde zástupce pro světové finále a kterému poskytla záštitu primátorka hl. m. Prahy Adriana Krnáčová, se dostaly tři startupy z České republiky. Po jednom zástupci má Maďarsko, Slovensko, Nizozemsko, Polsko, Rakousko a Německo, posledního – desátého – finalistu vybere speciální porota ze zbylých 41 projektů z TOP 50 až v den konání SWCS, tedy 17. října v pražské Lucerně.

If you are passionate about dancing, you will surely enjoy DanceTime Gala Ball 2019, which will take place on the 12th of January 2019 in Grand Hotel Bohemia in Prague. The ball is the conclusion of the second year of the DanceTime Gala Cup, a special dance competition where one professional and one amateur work together as dancing partners. The event is organized by the society Tanec pro všechny, which aims to promote social dance at all levels and make it accessible to as many people as possible.

23.5.2019 — Ve středu 29. května vyroste na Václavském náměstí v Praze speciální SDGs fotbalová aréna. Proti sobě s se v ní postaví 18 týmů žen, které budou kopat za globální cíle OSN. Více než sportovní talent nebo zkušenosti s fotbalem se v této hře bude počítat nadšení aktivně bojovat a hrát za společensky důležitá témata. Unikátní fotbalový turnaj žen s názvem Global Goals World Cup Prague startuje ve 14:00 hodin.

Registrace startují symbolicky 8. března na Mezinárodní den žen a končí 31. března 2019. Finále se odehraje na Václavském náměstí 29. května 2019 za účasti známých osobností ze světa sportu, politiky a dalších zahraničních hostů.

The traditional meeting of dancers and dance fans usually takes place on Střelecký Island, where the event has a wide fan base. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year's annual competition will be broadcast online from several locations in Prague. Nevertheless, the event will still connect the Czech dance scene with the public.

The festival will take place in Invalidovna in Karlín in Prague on the 27th and 28th of September, while Thursday the 27th of September is reserved for schools.

8.7.2019 — On Saturday, the 13th of July, the oldest European streetball tournament - Prague International Streetball Cup - returns for its 17th year. The competition will take place in the heart of Prague, in Můstek in Wenceslas Square.

29.5.2019 — The 21st international festival, "Prague Heart of Nations 2019", is the largest joint event for minorities in the Czech Republic, bringing a wealth of traditions from nations around the world. From the 30th of May to the 3rd of June, the festival will symbolically take place in the heart of Europe - the historical centre of Prague. Since 1999, musicians, singers and dancers have come to the Czech capital to perform traditional folk art from their native countries. This year, Prague will welcome a wide range of artists once again.

The tournament is not only for elite world teams, but also for amateur and junior teams. 9.9.2009 — Primátor hl. m. Prahy Pavel Bém přijal včera v podvečer v Rezidenci primátora účastníky 38. ročníku Mistrovství světa v baseballu. První etapa šampionátu proběhne ve dnech 9. 9. – 12. 9.2009 v Praze-Krči na stadionu Eagles.

Česká softballová asociace pořádá letos hlavní mezinárodní akcí České softballové asociace Světový pohár. Primátor Pavel Bém včera zahájil Světový pohár v softballu dívek do šestnácti let.
