Art from your car

The Art Parking project will be launched in two locations in Prague on Friday the 24th of April. Art Parking is a multi-genre festival that aims to offer dozens of theatre performances, concerts, and film screenings from now until the end of June.

Načeva to launch new record

Drive-in cinemas inspired the festival where festivalgoers can enjoy the performances from their cars. Art Parking has a varied repertoire. Monika Načeva will launch her new alternative music album, but festival organisers are also planning classical music concerts, performances for children and hip-hop.

Circus and dancers

The programme will also include theatre performers, particularly movement and dance productions from independent groups. Visitors will enjoy the jugglers from the new-circus group Bratři v tricku; the show ‘1000 věcí, co mě serou’ (‘1000 things that piss me off’) starring Bara Kubátová, Jakub Albrecht and Tomáš Dianiška; dancers from Holektiv; and Geisslers Hofcomoedianten, among others.

Film screenings will be included in the festival, in cooperation with Aerofilms Company, which is always a guarantee of good quality.

When and where

Although the project will begin in two places in Prague, the festival organisers plan to bring it to other areas in Prague and to other cities and towns. The Prague Market car park in Holešovice will open for theatre performances and concerts on Friday the 24th of April and the drive-in cinema at Praha-Žižkov Freight Railway Station (‘Nákladové nádraží Žižkov’) will start screening on Monday the 27th of April.

Safety comes first

Art Parking is a safe way to enjoy a festival, where no physical contact is required, even for ticket purchasing. Health and safety is a priority and social distancing is guaranteed with wide spaces between cars.
