This year's celebrations will take place in Prague under the auspices of the Festival svobody (Freedom Festival), in places that are directly linked to the historical events. Parades, debates, concerts, and other events will take place in the streets of the city.

  • The Korzo Národní festival on Národní třída will offer concerts, theater performances, exhibitions, authors’ readings, educational events or presentations of non-profit organizations.
  • A satirical carnival parade called Sametové posvícení (Velvet Fair) will pass through the streets in the center of Prague, this time under the slogan “This is not a duck”. The costume parade route will proceed from Republic Square through Kampa to Wenceslas Square.
  • From the Memorial to the victims of Communism at Újezd, a procession of Pravda nemá alternativu (Truth does not have an alternative) will make its way to Wenceslas Square. The name of the parade points to increasing levels of manipulation, propaganda, and spreading disinformation in today's society.
  • The students’ organized remembrance act Uctění památky 17. listopadu (Commemoration of November 17th) at Albertov will present rectors and students as well as outstanding personalities of academic and public life.
  • The culmination of Prague events will be Koncert pro budoucnost (Concert for the Future) taking place on the Wenceslas Square. It will offer visitors a rich program featuring performances by artists, bands, and outstanding cultural and public figures. The concert will be broadcasted live to a number of Czech and Moravian cities.
