The first aerial sports championship in the Czech Republic
The first official aerial sports championships in the Czech Republic and Slovakia will begin in Prague. You can come and see the elegant sport, where acrobats dance in the air with the aid of scarves, on the 26th of October in Královské Vinohrady. Aerobics and fitness are not as popular as adrenaline-filled sports. However, aerial acrobatics has recently experienced a great boom. And it's not just about the competition. Like any sport, aerial dancing can be practiced for fun.
For those who are not afraid of heights
Aerial acrobatics is one of the foundations of New Circus art. It is a combination of dance, acrobatics and tricks with props. You can use a circle, scarves, a trapeze or ropes. However, it is not for the faint of heart or for those with a fear of heights!
Gradual training gives dancers the strength and flexibility they need in order to improve and develop.
First Czech and Slovak Championship
Now you can witness the first Czech and Slovak Championship in this sport. Acrobats will perform breath-taking moves and even falls from heights, stopping just above the ground, on the 26thof October.
“In the morning there will also be the junior categories. You can also look forward to the very appealing category of doubles. Among the individual competition choreographies, you will also see the performances of top acrobats who will sit as experts in the jury,” Jarmila Hanzlíková, President of the European Pole Dance Federation, said.
Although a number of technical parameters are evaluated in the competition, even first-time viewers will soon be able to orient themselves and be sure to enjoy the unusual spectacle.
